Two ways to explore

Choose your bee experience.

These two formats offer different ways to learn about the hive. Please contact us to confirm what is currently available, the exact activities, and how to prepare.

01 / EDUCATIONAL

Educational Tour

A welcoming introduction to the life of a honey bee colony, with time to look, learn, taste, and ask questions.

  • Start with a guided explanation of colony roles, pollination, and beekeeping tools.
  • View bees through an observation hive or another suitable guided demonstration, if available.
  • Explore honey tasting when it is available as part of the visit.
  • Bring your questions for a conversation about bees and their world.

02 / IMMERSIVE

Hands-On Hive Experience

Go beyond the introduction with a closer, beekeeper-guided look at a working hive when conditions allow.

  • Begin with the same educational orientation and safety guidance.
  • Use protective clothing for the hive portion when that experience is offered.
  • Join a guided hive inspection to see colony activity and frames up close.
  • Talk through what you see and ask questions throughout the experience.
